A home inspection is a visual examination of the home and its systems. The overall process of a home inspection will involve examining the physical structure, roofing, foundation, electrical, plumbing, heating & air conditioning, walls, doors, windows, floors, and appliances.
Yes. A home inspection is important because the purchase of a home is such a large investment. A thorough and detailed home inspection report will provide you with important information and aid you in your decision making process.
Yes. New homes can have problems just like old homes can. It is always in the best interest of the buyer to have an inspection performed by a third party, licensed home inspector.
No. A home inspection does not have a pass or fail outcome.
No. It is not required that you attend the home inspection. However, it is recommended that you attend at least the very end of the inspection. After the inspection is complete, your home inspector will explain important details of your report. If you are unable to attend the inspection, your home inspector will be happy to discuss all details of the report over the phone.
Your report will be emailed to you within 24 hours and in many cases the same day.
No. Your home inspector is unable to provide a cost estimate for repairs. To receive those estimates a professional in those areas will need to be contacted.
